Lucia Boffo is a talented singer, composer, and improviser from Ushuaia, Argentina, also known as the "end of the world." She started her music studies and professional career in her hometown before continuing her training in Buenos Aires. Lucia completed her first Bachelor's degree in Jazz Vocals at the EMPA (Escuela de Música Popular de Avellaneda), where she even became part of the teaching staff. She is currently pursuing further studies in Jazz Singing and Composition at the Jazz Institute Berlin (JIB), located at the University of the Arts Berlin (UDK). Lucia's passion for music goes beyond her personal pursuits. Since 2015, she has organized and led vocal improvisation workshops in Argentina, Uruguay, and other countries throughout Europe. She has performed at numerous jazz festivals in Argentina, Uruguay, the United States, and Germany, showcasing her exceptional talent and captivating audiences.

This Project was born in 2022 after releasing her first solo album NOMADE. This project combines elements of contemporary Jazz, Argentinian folk/rock, free improvisation, and Spanish and English poetry.

InSpirit - Jazz als spirituelles Musikerlebnis in der Gedächtniskirche

Seit vielen Jahren prägt die Reihe InSpirit den Sommer in der Gedächtniskirche: Die Verbindung von zeitgenössischer Jazzmusik und spirituellen Inhalten in einem Kirchenraum ist in dieser Form in Berlin einmalig.

Das berühmte blaue Licht der Glasfenster schafft eine unvergleichliche Atmosphäre, um Jazz als spirituelles Musikerlebnis zu genießen. Namhafte Jazzmusikerinnen und -musiker aus dem In- und Ausland gestalten die Abende der Reihe gemeinsam mit Theologinnen und Theologen.

 Die künstlerische Leitung von InSpirit hat der Organist der Gedächtniskirche, Sebastian Heindl. Er bringt seine persönliche Begeisterung für zeitgenössischen Jazz nicht nur bei der Auswahl der eingeladenen Musikerinnen und Musiker ein, sondern wirkt bei einigen Abenden auch selbst an der großen Orgel oder der Hammondorgel mit.
