Pianist Bora Lee graduated from Gnessin State Musical College with an Honors Diploma in Moscow, Russia. After she moved to the USA, she earned a B.M. from Oberlin College and two M.M. degrees from Indiana University and University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign. Dr. Lee received a D.M.A. and Artist Diploma in harpsichord from University of Illinois. She won prizes at Konzerteum International Piano Competition in Greece, Rovere d’Oro Prize International Piano Competition in Italy, Rising Stars Grand Prix International Music Competition in Germany, Misbin Family Memorial Chamber Music Competition, American Protégé International Concerto Competition in USA. She had debut recitals at Young San Hall, Seoul Art Center, Lotte Concert Hall, Sejong Arts Center, Carnegie Hall, Great Hall in Moscow. Also, she performed as a soloist at the Casalmaggiore International Music Festival, Italy. In addition to her own solo performance pursuits, she has given presentations at various international music conferences and workshops, such as the National Conference on Keyboard Pedagogy, KKAP Symposium, the Piano Teachers’ Forum of Grand Rapids, and the Illinois State Music Teachers Association. She has been an active member of the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA). She served as Instructional Coordinator for the Piano Laboratory Program and as a master/lead teacher for piano majors, observing and supervising all instruction. She also taught group piano classes at The University of Illinois, and served as an accompanying and teaching assistant. She has moved to Berlin, Germany in August 2018 and worked as a piano teacher at Blackmore’s International Music Academy until June 2019. Currently, she works as a freelance pianist and piano teacher in Berlin.
Violinist Eunjeong Choi is an active soloist as well as chamber and orchestral musician. She earned her Master of Music degree from University of Michigan (Ann Arbor) under Stephen Shipps, and received Doctor of Musical Arts degree at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign where she studied with Stefan Milenkovich. Dr. Choi was the winner of New York Artists International Competition, North International Music Competition, Concerto Competition for St. Petersburg Radio and TV Symphony Orchestra in Russia, as well as a prizewinner in Classic Pure Vienna International Competition, American String Teacher Association in Los Angeles, Misbin Chamber Music Competition in Washington DC, and American Prize in Chamber Music. She appeared on multiple occasions including Carnegie Hall in New York, Glazunov concert hall in Russia, Mozarthaus in Vienna, Music Alp Summer Festival in France, Chamber Music series throughout North America. In addition, Dr. Choi has performed in Champaign-Urbana Symphony Orchestra, and Sinfonia da Camera. She is currently a member of Civic Orchestra of Chicago.
